Doddinghurst is a village and civil parish in south Essex. It is situated to the north of Brentwood. The amenities include, a Doddinghurst Infants and Junior School, a Church, a pub (the Moat), a small row of shops, and a park on which the village fetes are held, most notably the Doddinghurst Donkey Derby, which is held once a year in aid of six local charitable organizations. These are the Doddinghurst Village Hall, Doddinghurst Olympic Football Club, Doddinghurst CofE Junior School, Doddinghurst Infant School, Doddinghurst Pre-School and the 1st Doddinghurst Scout Troop.
